Our projects
-
Blackpool Researching Together
We are partners in a huge NIHR national initiative as part of Blackpool’s Health Determinants Research Collaboration (named Blackpool Researching Together). BBF are supporting young Co-researchers to make Blackpool Council more evidence informed.
-
Activist Alliance
Informed by our understanding of resilience, we believe that activism has the potential to offer a radically different way of promoting young people’s health and resilience through campaigning for socially just systems change.
-
Coastal Community and Creative Health
Public health, community groups and organisations, and researchers are joining forces in three coastal communities; Blackpool, Hastings and Weston Super Mare. Together, we aim to understand how organisations help our wellbeing, what barriers we might face accessing them, and where the gaps in services are.

Cumbria Co-research Collective
We are part of a new Youth Co-research Collective in Cumbria! Alongside Carlisle Youth Zone and the University of Cumbria, BBF has been enlisted to support a group in Cumbria to Get Co-Research Ready. We are coming together as young people (12 – 17yrs), peer youth leaders (18 – 21yrs), established Youth Co-researchers and adults in Youth Worker and Academic roles.
